galvanized and Galvalume steels.

- Click on the Chemistry-Grade arrow and select the Quality required.
- Put in your thickness (in inches) - example: .0575
- Put in your width (in inches) - minimum width is 24
- Click on the Coating Weight arrow and select the desired coating (when required).
- Click on the Surface Treatment arrow and select the appropriate treatment.
- Click on the Recalculate Estimated Price bar
How does it Work?
- The Price Estimator uses Steel Market Update prime price indexes (average index).
- The Price Estimator then uses domestic mill gauge and width, quality and coating
extras (when applicable) to come up with an "average" price.
- All prices are fob east of the Rockies producing mill.
How often are Prices Adjusted?
- Steel Market Update reviews our price indexes continuously and makes adjustments
as needed. Prices are confirmed or revised at least once per week and published
on Wednesdays.
How Accurate are the Prices?
- Steel Market Update produces indexed prices with a "Low" to "High"
range. From there the "average" is determined which is what is used in
this Price Estimator.
- You can find out more about by visiting the "Steel Prices" section of
the Steel Market Update website (www.steelmarketupdate.com).
Are these "Official" Mill Prices?
- The Price Estimator is provided as a tool for both prime and secondary customers
to get an idea of the "average" prime replacement costs for flat rolled
steel products.
- The price any customer may receive from a specific mill may vary (+/-) depending
on your relationship with the supplier, tonnage, lead-times, credit terms, location
of customer and many other factors.
- The prices generated are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a
quote from any domestic or foreign source.
I Need Regional Prices - is that Possible?
- Steel Market Update’s goal - over time - is to produce indexed pricing on a regional
bases and providing a Price Estimator for those in the Southeast, Northeast, Midwest,
